"Do I need a deep clean or a regular clean?" is one of the questions we hear most. The short answer: if your home hasn't been professionally cleaned in a while, start with a deep clean. If it has, a standard clean is probably all you need.
Here's the longer answer.
Standard cleaning: maintenance
A standard clean, also called a regular, maintenance, or recurring clean, keeps a home that's already in good shape looking that way. It covers the surfaces you see and use every day:
- Kitchen counters, sink, stovetop, and appliance exteriors
- Toilets, tubs, showers, sinks, and mirrors
- Dusting reachable surfaces
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Making beds and emptying trash
It's designed to be repeated every week, every two weeks, or every month.
Deep cleaning: a full reset
A deep clean includes everything above, plus the detailed work that builds up over time:
- Hand-wiped baseboards, door frames, and doors
- Cabinet fronts and handles
- Degreasing the stove and range hood
- Inside the microwave
- Soap scum and hard-water buildup
- Tile and grout lines
- Light fixtures, ceiling fans, and blinds
- Edges, corners, and accessible areas around furniture
Because it covers so much more, a deep clean takes noticeably longer and costs more than a standard visit.

When to choose a deep clean
- Your home hasn't been professionally cleaned in a few months or longer
- You're starting recurring service and want to begin from a clean slate
- You're preparing for a holiday, party, or visiting family
- It's spring, or the end of a busy season
- Someone in your home has allergies or dust sensitivity
When a standard clean is enough
- You already have regular professional cleaning
- You had a deep clean in the last few months
- You just want your home kept up week to week
The approach most clients take
Most of our clients book one deep clean, then switch to recurring cleaning every week or two. The deep clean resets the home; the recurring visits keep it there, and they cost less per visit because there's less buildup to fight.
